17617 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor actuator supply voltage "b", circuit low and particulate trap bank 1, efficiency below threshold is the final reason of the code. |
17617 Possible Causes:
17617 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 17617 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
