176 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so injection pump, timing calibration not learned it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake air heater "a", circuit open or 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
176 Possible Causes:
176 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 176 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
