17542 Description And Summary : |

When you open control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ and wait then a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
17542 Possible Causes:
17542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17542 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
