17538 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low you can see the ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
17538 Possible Causes:
17538 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17538 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
