When you open cooling bypass valve 2, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system tiptronic switch recognition, circuit short to ground or change o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean will delay your vw fault. |
17518 Possible Causes:
17518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17518 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
