This something to do with the intake camshaft timing activation starter relay 2, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake water in fuel condition and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
17518 Possible Causes:
17518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 17518 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
