17517 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system shift up/down wire, short to b+ . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
17517 Possible Causes:
17517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17517 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
