17498 Possible Causes:
17498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 17498 Code
- Inspect all the connections crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
