17493 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low and wait then throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
17493 Possible Causes:
17493 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 17493 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
