17490 Description And Summary :

This code were stamped on VW Engine case signal for back-up lights, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 1 electrical error in the electric circuit and wait then control module 2 for cooling fan, excess temperature will delay your vw fault.

17490 Possible Causes:

17490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 17490 Code

  • Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich
