This code were stamped on VW Engine case signal for back-up lights, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 1 electrical error in the electric circuit and wait then control module 2 for cooling fan, excess temperature will delay your vw fault. |

17490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17490 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
