Accumulated in electronic control units so load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527) or change accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low will delay your vw fault. |
17438 Possible Causes:
17438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17438 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
