This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm also generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
17424 Possible Causes:
17424 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17424 Code
- Inspect all the connections vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
