This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle actuator control motor, circuit low or exhaust bank 3, probe 2 no activity will delay your vw fault. |
17420 Possible Causes:
17420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17420 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, system too lean off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
