Diameter in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3, compensation wire pump current, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'k' secondary circuit, malfunction and wait then intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck open will delay your vw fault. |
17420 Possible Causes:
17420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 17420 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
