17417 Description And Summary : |

When you open secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground also fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
17417 Possible Causes:
17417 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17417 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1): implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
