Staring in engine exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high or bank 2, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g301), short-circuit to mass is the final reason of the code. |
17406 Possible Causes:
17406 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 17406 Code
- Inspect all the connections controller for radiator exhaust oh run (j138), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
