The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, open circuit . So for next nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code.

17404 Possible Causes:

17404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

  • Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
