The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, open circuit . So for next nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
17404 Possible Causes:
17404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

What To Check After Fixing 17404 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
