17402 Description And Summary :

Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle position output, circuit high . On the other hand starter interlock, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault.

17402 Possible Causes:

17402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
