Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle position output, circuit high . On the other hand starter interlock, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
17402 Possible Causes:
17402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 17402 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
