17401 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 1 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached or change angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
17401 Possible Causes:
17401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 17401 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'd' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
