Staring in engine exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles injector control pressure sensor, circuit high and wait then diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation is the final reason of the code. |
17397 Possible Causes:
17397 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17397 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
