The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault activation intake manifold runner bank 2 control circuit, open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground and wait then secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
17317 Possible Causes:
17317 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17317 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
