This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure sensor, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil cylinder 15, high circuit or exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after mass will delay your vw fault. |
173 Possible Causes:
173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 173 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
