When you open barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles transmission range display, circuit open . So for next ignition switch accessory position, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
17298 Possible Causes:
17298 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 17298 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
