This code were stamped on VW Engine case mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed you can see the shift up/down wire, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17291 Possible Causes:
17291 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 17291 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
