17287 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil cylinder 13, low circuit and intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 1 is the final reason of the code.

17287 Possible Causes:

17287 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 17287 Code

  • Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
