This something to do with the intake camshaft timing activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition switch run position, circuit high or engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
17280 Possible Causes:
17280 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 17280 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
