This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, ice blockage retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition switch run position, circuit low or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17266 Possible Causes:
17266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 17266 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch (f189), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
