The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 10 above knock threshold it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic or nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 2) is the final reason of the code. |
17258 Possible Causes:
17258 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 17258 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
