When you open reset-resistant limp-mode active retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, heater return coupling and wait then throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
17257 Possible Causes:
17257 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17257 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
