The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault turbocharger 2 control module (j725), high temperature retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor circuit also relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
17242 Possible Causes:
17242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17242 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of brake system ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
