17242 Description And Summary : |

When you open valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal and wait then a/c request b, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
17242 Possible Causes:
17242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 17242 Code
- Inspect all the connections immobilizer query not yet performed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
