The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground . On the other hand hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |

17235 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 1, compensation wire pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
