Accumulated in electronic control units so please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil cylinder 16, high circuit or secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
17231 Possible Causes:
17231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17231 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
