When you open bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel level sensor 2, circuit high voltage or change throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance will delay your vw fault. |
17229 Possible Causes:
17229 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 17229 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
