Diagnosing engine bar with throttle angle signal stuck on retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean or data bus powertrain, missing message from acceleration request is the final reason of the code. |
17228 Possible Causes:
17228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17228 Code
- Inspect all the connections change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
