This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), electrical malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor cylinder 8 above knock threshold also barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit is the final reason of the code. |
17220 Possible Causes:
17220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 17220 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
