17206 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu or change pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17206 Possible Causes:
17206 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17206 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
