17201 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, open circuit also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
17201 Possible Causes:
17201 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 17201 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
