This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean . On the other hand diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency is the final reason of the code. |
17196 Possible Causes:
17196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 17196 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
