17190 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off and 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code.

17190 Possible Causes:

17190 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 17190 Code

  • Inspect all the connections angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too small
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
