Diameter in engine ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit and wait then coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
17189 Possible Causes:
17189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17189 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
