This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'h' primary control, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low and generator shut-off, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17186 Possible Causes:
17186 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17186 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
