This code were stamped on VW Engine case accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges . On the other hand engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
17181 Possible Causes:
17181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17181 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signals swapped bank 1 sensor 2 / bank 1 sensor 3
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
