This code were stamped on VW Engine case transmission control unit (j217), programming error the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel pump "b" control, circuit low or throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation is the final reason of the code. |
17177 Possible Causes:
17177 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17177 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
