This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more hydraulic pressure sensor 2 too low or change exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
17174 Possible Causes:
17174 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17174 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
