This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed tiptronic switch up, circuit short to ground and throttle closed position, performance will delay your vw fault. |
17173 Possible Causes:
17173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17173 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
