When you open control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean you can see the valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), regulation range exceeded is the final reason of the code. |
17173 Possible Causes:
17173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 17173 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
