Diagnosing engine bar with intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake system too rich at higher load, bank 1 or change secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17173 Possible Causes:
17173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17173 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
