Diameter in engine fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to b+ or torque management feedback signal "b", high will delay your vw fault. |
17166 Possible Causes:
17166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 17166 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
