17161 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing nox sensor bank 1, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit low and nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
17161 Possible Causes:
17161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 17161 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
