Diameter in engine intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit range / performance bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption . On the other hand cylinder 10 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
17158 Possible Causes:
17158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17158 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
