This code were stamped on VW Engine case function restriction due to brake temperature It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake relays for pump load air cooling (j536), short-circuit after pluses . So for next activation starter relay 2, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
17149 Possible Causes:
17149 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17149 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of all wheel drive ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
