This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical or charging system, voltage will delay your vw fault. |
17144 Possible Causes:
17144 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17144 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
