17128 Description And Summary : |

This code were stamped on VW Engine case glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low and wait then internal control module: eeprom error is the final reason of the code. |
17128 Possible Causes:
17128 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17128 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 1, compensation wire pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
