The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data-bus powertrain, implausible message from brake controller and combustion detection during deceleration is the final reason of the code. |
17118 Possible Causes:
17118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17118 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
